I have always been partial to bead necklaces that are all in a color family, the attraction being the subtle interplay of shapes and shades. The blue, blue green, and violet one below is on a limited edition scarf I made ages ago.
I don't know about you, but although I try to be organized with little bins of beads, it doesn't last long. What I really like to do it create a color family or collection in a large bin and dump related beads from suppliers all over the world in there. For inspiration I just stir them around.
