Clumped Snow
a winter poem by Canadian poet Judi Suni Hall at Gingezel
the Inuit
must have a name for it
snow that is clumped
like wool on a sheep
or coral in a reef
but still large flat crystals
glittering and fragile
in the sun
the flakes brilliant
today is overcast
and they have
the dull sheen of steel
they wait
for the return of the sun
as I do
